SPACEFRAMES

This type of system gives the designer geometrical possibilities and spans other structures cannot meet.  Spaceframes allow the designer to use the steel structure as an architectural feature.  Spaceframes are composed of spherical joints and tubular bars connected by screws.  The designer can select almost any type of cladding (skylight glazing or metal roof).  Typical projects are sports facilities, atriums, pavilions, airports, large canopies and areas with limited column support.  Spaceframes are used in applications normally minimum 30’ wide and greater with a minimum 4,000 sq.ft. area of coverage.
