METAL WALKWAYS

This type of system allows the designer the opportunity to enhance the architectural appearance of the walkway compared to flat deck walkway systems but at a less expensive cost compared to translucent walkway systems.  The column and beams are typically aluminum tubes (maximum 12’ on center).  The designer may also use tube steel or concrete columns to support the walkway aluminum self-supporting system and metal panels.  Typical projects are schools, office buildings and hospitals where buildings and parking areas are not connected.
